15th October 2015

Today we were extremly honoured to open the new Studio Theatre at Brooklands College in Weybridge with our production of Can't Stand up for Falling Down. We rehearsed the piece at the college earlier in the year, so going back to perform it in their new, state of the art theatre was like taking the show back home! Renowned theatre director, Jonathan Holloway, was also present to give our production his stamp of approval!! Thank you Jonathan for your kind words, encouragement, and endorsement of our work.

Due to the overwhelming success of Eavesdropping at Barons Court, we are delighted to announce that we will be bringing a NEW production (using the same concept) back to Barons Court Theatre in Jan/Feb 2017. Details and booking information for the production, entitled More Eavesdropping, can be found on our CURRENT PRODUCTIONS page.

30th March 2016

Angel Theatre Company will present Eavesdropping, an original piece of theatre. The production consists of a variety of scenes, each varying in length. Most plays are either scripted or devised, but Eavesdropping sits somewhere between the two! The piece is created by our company of actors who spend several weeks covertly recording real people engaged in genuine conversations. These recordings are then scripted and explored through rehearsal to find their dramatic potential. Each vignette is a miniature work of art in itself, but when presented as part of a sequence, the piece promises to take its audience on a unique, entertaining,

emotional and amusing journey.

The production will play at BARONS COURT THEATRE

5th-9th July at 7.30pm (with a Saturday matinee on 9th at 2.30pm) & 11th-16th July at 7.30pm

Ron Phillips, Artistic Director of Barons Court Theatre has said:

"This is one of the most original concepts for a theatrical piece we have ever heard of

and it promises to be a fascinating production."

In early 2018, we plan to produce a piece of new writing and over the next few months will be welcoming submissions from playwrights for consideration. This is a rare opportunity to have your work performed at an Off West End venue by a professional theatre company. We will fully finance the venture and you’ll share in any profits the production generates. Our company has excellent links within the industry and your work will potentially be seen by some very influential people.

In the first instance, please email us your biography, a character breakdown and a synopsis of your play, which will be considered by John Patterson, our Artistic Director. If he would like to take your proposal further, we will then ask you to submit a full script. Please note, we are only considering plays that have not yet had a professional premiere.

The deadline for submissions is 30th November 2017.

Please email us at theangeltheatreco@gmail.com with your name and ‘Script Submission’ in the subject bar.

We look forward to receiving your ideas!

We are delighted to announce that the cast of No Exit is as follows; Ieuan Coombs as Vincent, Anna Bonnett as Inez, Sarah Kerr as Estelle and Zachary Barber as Valet.

Further details, including how to book, can be found on our CURRENT PRODUCTIONS page.

We would like to offer an opportunity to drama school students, across all year groups, should you wish to arrange a group booking to see our current production of Sartre's No Exit. The show plays at Barons Court Theatre from 21st - 25th November 2017 at 7.30pm (with a matinee on Saturday 25th at 2.30pm). Tickets are just £12 for students.

If you can organise a party of 15 or more, we would be delighted to offer you a free Q & A session with John Patterson, our Artistic Director, which will take place directly after the performance you attend. In this session, John will not only discuss the process of working on the production, but take open questions on any aspect of working as an actor. This will include audition tips, advice on how to make a positive impression to directors, how to communicate effectively when using social media for self promotion and how to manage oneself effectively as a business. He will also share exactly what he looks for when casting actors.

Angel Theatre Company have given many actors that all important first professional job. This year alone, we have employed new graduates from GSA, ALRA, Italia Conti, Drama Centre, Drama Studio London, Mountview, Oxford School of Drama and Birmingham School of Acting. Attending one of our productions and meeting John in the Q & A afterwards is an excellent way to connect with us for those who may wish to apply to work with us in the future.

To make a group booking, just email us at theangeltheatreco@gmail.com with the number of tickets you require and which performance you wish to attend. We will then send you details for making payment to secure both your tickets and the Q & A session with John. Please note, the performances on 21st and 23rd November have already sold out.
